Chiron Fortress 1.0.5 is a simple application which aims to simplify the process of encrypting important files to keep their contents hidden from those who should not be viewing them. Chiron Fortress uses a familiar explorer type interface to navigate the hard disk to find files to encrypt/decrypt. One click completes the encryption of the file, which is completed very quickly, the completion time depends on the size of the file.

Chiron Fortress also allows you to open an encrypted file, make changes and save them away, without the need to decrypt the file first. Chiron Fortress uses 2 encryption keys. One to encrypt files intended to remain on the local system. The second is intended to the be used to encypt files which are to sent to a third party either by e-mail or via an FTP site. The third party will require Chiron Fortress to access the file, but the key can be transmitted separately to allow access.
