As its name implies, this utility performs real-time monitoring of RAM usage as well as freeing extra memory space, but releasing memory greatly affects the performance of other running programs. Monitor and Free RAM resides in your system tray, silently keeping an eye on your memory usage, and the small icon tells you how much RAM is available. There are a few basic settings for adjusting the target amount of memory to free and the time interval between memory defragmentation. You can use the tray icon to release memory manually, and our tests did show an increase in free memory. However, certain programs become slower after releasing free memory, but everything returns to normal after a few moments. Most users won't be pleased with the five-day trial, but it does offer an effective means of managing precious RAM.
