Resource Tuner is a resource editor that enables you to customize any application by editing and replacing resources (PNG, XML, image lists, bitmaps, JPEG, icons, strings, Delphi forms) within the file. It ships with the UPX Unpacker, a start-up processing plug-in for unpacking files compressed with UPX. Resource Tuner makes it straightforward to translate any application, even if you do not have the source code for it, even if its original developers are long gone.
The program utilizes a wizard-based approach to creating an application manifest which offers a target application the possibility to take advantage of the new common control styles on Windows XP and Vista. It also brings the function to mark pre-Vista applications with a requested execution level, offering the way to deploy the same build of the application on both Windows XP and Windows Vista. Version 1.99 R4 provides improved opening of huge files, other bugfixes and improvements.
